Nione  means
'See me'
in Kiswahili

Nione Initiative Fundation was inspired by Louis-Christophe, the son of the founder. He was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) at the age of 4.

The
Initiative.

Nione Initiative Foundation reaches out to people, especially children with ASD. The organization advocates for their inclusion in faith places and in the community at large through awareness and training sessions and partnering with different stakeholders.

Nione also provides psycho-social support for parents and families affected by autism in sessions led by certified psychologists.

Nione's target: Churches and the community at large

For the Church

We rarely meet children with ASD in our churches, yet according to some specialists, the prevalence of autism is on the rise in most part of the world. We believe that one of the primary roles of the Church is to provide solutions to the needs of society and one such need is how to create an inclusive environment for people/children and families affected with ASD.

It has become essential for churches today to reach out to them with initiative like the Nione Initiative. As we know, the primary mission of the Church is to bring people to the knowledge of Christ; so that each person is aware of the potential and the divine call on his/her life. People with autism are not excluded from this divine plan.

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord"!

We believe that the Church to whom Jesus gave ALL POWER, must be one of the pilar and a reference in this area.

Awareness for the Community at large

Stories of abuse of all kinds against people with autism are generally a result of lack of information and ignorance.
Raising awareness about autism is crucial if we want our world to be more inclusive and understanding.

Through awareness-raising sessions, for example, in schools and other public places, Nione Initiative Foundation wants to assist to minimize stigma and discrimination towards people with autism and their families
